The American Garden Museum

Launch date: Jan 1, 2003

Although it is no longer in existence, The American Garden Museum was a lush archive of American gardens and their gardeners.

We are proud to say that the American Garden Museum was featured in the Wall Street Journal. In addition,  The American Garden Museum was chosen by Yahoo! Picks, as one of "The best sites on the Web", "chosen and reviewed by Yahoo!'s crack team of editors", in November 2004.

Goal: The American Garden Museum was created to be a national working archive that celebrated American gardens and their gardeners. Each main page was custom designed.

Design: The American Garden Museum was designed and built from the ground-up. The look: upscale, elegant and uncluttered. The feel: warm, nostalgic, natural, evokes longevity.

Scope of Project: web design, copy-writing, photography, web development and ongoing web and copy maintenance; The American Garden Museum was a growing digital archive of gardens across the USA.

Tools: Javascript for the pop-up windows, cascading style sheets for design and uniform layout, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop 6 (well, it was 2003!), Illustrator 10 ... and a very active digital camera.
